This notice explains how I, Michael Woods, trading as Serenity Within, handle your personal information. I am the data controller for any information you share with me.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind, and it does not collect any information about you. There are no forms. Like all web servers, it keeps short technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security, and these are deleted automatically.
When you contact me
If you phone, text or email me, I will receive your contact details and whatever you choose to tell me. I use this only to reply to you and arrange a consultation or sessions. Emails are handled by Google (Gmail).
If we work together
During therapy I keep brief, confidential session notes. Information about your health is special category data, and I handle it with care in line with UK data protection law and the BACP Ethical Framework. I discuss how I keep records, how long I keep them and the limits of confidentiality with you at the start of our work together.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you, or object to how I use it. To do this, contact me at serenitywithintherapy71@gmail.com.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
